Building Skills for Female Pickleball Players

Opportunity for Women and Girls wanting to improve their pickleball game

Noosa Pickleball Club is hosting Building Skills for Female Pickleball Players. Sponsored by our grant from the Qld Active Women and Girls Program.

Location: Noosaville State School Hall, 75 Beckmans Rd, Noosaville QLD 4566

Number per group: Maximum 8 players.

Available to:

All female pickleball players (if you are not a Noosa Pickleball Club Member, you will be asked to sign an Insurance Waiver)

Cost: $45 for a three-week Round – Pay up front. No refunds, if you can’t attend all three weeks of Round 1, there will be an opportunity to transfer to Round 2.

Round 1:  3 Consecutive Saturdays:  3, 10, 17 August 2024:  

·       Full Group 1 (Advanced Beginners):  10 am - 12 pm  

·       Full:  Group 2 (Intermediate): 1 – 3 pm

 Round 2:  3 Consecutive Saturdays:  24 Aug, 31 Aug, 7 September 2024

·       Full: Group 3 (Advanced Beginners):  10 am - 12 pm

·      Enroll: Still have spots:  Group 4 (Intermediate): 1 – 3 pm

 What to bring: Your paddle, a drink bottle, and your best attitude for learning.

 We will supply the courts, the balls and fruit.

The course is designed for female pickleball players who have foundational pickleball skills or intermediate skills.

 Advanced Beginners <3.0 ; Intermediate <3.5

 Advanced Beginner <3.0

  1. 1. Working on the 4 Basic Shots of Pickleball
  2. 2. Learning to Deal With Smashers
  3. 3. Learning Footwork 
  4. 4. Learning Dinking and How to Have a Rally
  5. 5. Learning to Let the Out Balls Fly.
  6. 6. Keeps Serves and Returns in Play
  7. 7. Gets to the No Volley Line (Kitchen Line)

 

Intermediate Player 3.0 - 3.5 

  1. 1. Working on Ball Placement 
  2. 2. Has a Basic Soft Game for Longer Rallies
  3. 3. Learning When to Reset the Point
  4. 4. Has All the Shots of Pickleball
  5. 5. Has a Useable Drop Shot
  6. 6. Gets to the NVL
  7. 7. Can Drop Volley
  8. 8. Understands and Can Use the Split Step
  9. 9. Can Dink and Have Rallies

 

*Your Coaches’ experience:

·     11 years Professional Pickleball Coach (IPTPA Level 2 and IFP Coaching Certification Instructor).

·     Sharon has been a Pickleball Coach (IFP) since 2015 and has worked with Keith since 2013.

·     Keith & Sharon Bing will have introduced over 2000 players to pickleball in Australia.

·     Keith was the first Professional Coach in Australia, starting at the Noosa Tennis Club, in June 2016, and formed the first Professional Pickleball Coaching Academy in Australia (The Noosa Pickleball Academy)
